"Have I left it too late to book?" I get asked this question every day and from my perspective the answer is an emphatic "NO". This time of the year is when owners are just taking possession of their new cottages; others are being opened up after the long winter, and a lot of properties are coming onto the rental market for the first time.
I will be listing over 20 new properties in the next few weeks on CLRM so it’s definitely not too late to book. Here’s a few of the upcoming cottages:
Crowe River – home to an environmentalist journalist and author, this is a beautiful retreat for those wanting an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. This Linwood home has a pine and cedar interior; three bedrooms and two bathrooms and is located in a tranquil spot on the river. For peace and quiet and a totally natural environment, you’ll find it here.
We’re excited about listing this cottage on Kennisis Lake. With beautiful waterfront and a terrific cottage, it will doubtless become one of our most popular locations. Everyone wants a sandy beach, and this one is great – soft sand and a shallow walkout to the water. Watch out for this one being listed – I can imagine the available weeks will fill up soon.
I saw a delightful cottage on Gunter Lake near Bancroft this past week. It too has a hard sand walkout to the water and has a very private feel to it. Although there is another cottage to one side, once on the deck, lawn or beach, you will have all the privacy you want. I visited on a very wet and cold day so am still waiting for some sunny-day photos, but I can describe this cute two bedroom + bunkie cottage if you want information before it is listed.
